404

Here's celebrating 404 posts on the White House blog! It's so funny to me how INSANE blogging has become. It's almost come to the point where if you DON'T have a blog--you're a weirdo. Now, if you don't have a blog and you're reading this...I'm not seriously calling you a weirdo, it's just becoming SO common, that soon it will be like cell phones..."you don't have a cell phone/blog? How do you survive?" I'm happy to know that people lived HAPPILY for centuries before blogging got started. Anyway, I am totally rambling. I know I've complained before about how annoying some bloggers are. {making their blog a place to show off everything in their life that is perfect}, but honestly, I think I've gotten over it. It's funny how in the last year I have learned to stop comparing myself to other bloggers and to stop "surfing". I have unsubscribed from several blogs that I used to read, because I didn't personally know them and it was hard to look at their lives and not compare myself to them. Now I am genuinely happy for the people I know, and their victories. I think I view blogging in a more healthy way and sometimes I just have to roll my eyes and "bless their hearts"... :)

Anyway, for my 404th blog entry I would like to post 404 things about me that are super awesome. What if? Nope, I think I'll just pat myself on the back and have some banana bread.

I salute you! I am an in-the-closet blog comparison-er myself. I still don't know how to not compare myself so I limit my blog hopping to once a week and then I only do it on days when Ian or I have done something particularly awesome so I can say 'In your face!' And I still only create posts that show how awesome I am. Any advice on that? I'm sure I won't be able to bring myself to write about how every mother's worst nightmare happened to me today; I locked Ian and my keys in the car (only for 4 minutes till my landlord could come across the street and unlock my house so I could get my spare key). One day I'll be secure with myself to admit my shortcomings on my blog, one day. You're an inspiration Raelynn! I love your blog for the honesty, hilarity and reality it is!!

It is crazy how the blog world has taken over. It makes me wonder how it will last or if I can keep up on it. I enjoy it though. I agree with Elsha... it might be smart to limit blogging time because it is so time consuming. I am way less productive since I started. But so fun to be in touch!! And just a few more weeks before the BIG reunion. Are you hanging in there?

Okay, you are so funny. I can totally hear you saying "I would like to post 404 things about me that are super awesome". I'm still laughing about it actually. And I'm SO PUMPED we are going to be neighbors!!! Wahoo! Will you sit by me at ward party's? I get really nervous at those because I'm afraid we'll walk in and hang out by ourselves.

P.S. I did send you an invite to view my blog. I'm kinda nervous cuz it says you already accepted it. Let me know if it's really not you.
