Tomorrow, Tomorrow...I love ya, Tomorrow!
So. Tomorrow is a pretty big deal. It's a day I've been planning with some dear friends of mine for weeks. Months, actually. Tomorrow it is here! I don't know why I haven't mentioned it on my blog yet. I get so engrossed in the ease of Facebook that I forget that not everyone does the "Facebook thing". But I'm truly grateful for it because it has spread the word like wildfire. So all you haters can just zip it.
Ahem. Where was I? Oh yes. Tomorrow. So my sweet friend Amy married a guy named Chad Buckner. I figured he had to be a pretty great guy for her to marry him. Turns out--it's true...he's a great guy. Unfortunately, Chad has had to deal with something that nobody SHOULD have to deal with--Cancer.
It's a rare case and after they thought it was all behind them--they ended up back in the hospital with docs here in Utah who told him to enjoy the quality of life that he has left and spend it with his family. Well, Chad is a fighter and wasn't okay with that. To make a long {and miraculous} story short, he has been in New York seeing a specialist in this rare cancer and getting extremely INTENSE treatment. For details click on his own blog here: http://chad-buckner.blogspot.com/.
From the beginning I have felt compelled to help in someway but didn't really think that anything *I* did could make much of a difference. All it takes is someone else who has that same feeling and the rest is history. We have had so many people JUMP at the chance to help the Buckners (not that I'm surprised) and have also had several cash donations from total strangers. That is what gets me. It's one thing to donate towards someone who you know, love and respect...but these blind donations are pulling at my heart strings big time.
Here's the jist: We have been working our tails off for a Fund-raising Boutique/Bake Sale that will take place tomorrow from 9 AM to 2 PM in Riverdale (where Chad & Amy live now). There will be a raffle with awesome giveaways, and SO many cute things. It just keeps getting better and better. Here's the most recent flier we have going on. Please consider checking it out if you're in the area. If not, and you'd like to make a cash donation, please email me! Here is the blog we've been running specifically about the fundraising efforts: Chad Fights Cancer.

Ps I hate the word verification thing on blogs. This is my third and last attempt at commenting. Grrr.
