Cheap Labor

Cole made a huge step today. A few months ago he started to bawl whenever I would turn on the vacuum, and today I slowly coaxed him into holding it--once he got the hang of it, he wouldn't let go. It was so heavy he could barely move it back and forth, but he was having a blast with it. Isn't this why we have children? One less chore for me to do...now if I can just train him to scrub the toilet...

i think it's hilarious that he's sucking his thumb whilst vacuuming...it's like he's soothing himself into doing something he was scared of...

Those pictures are great! Cole is such a cutie. And who wouldn't want to use that vacuum? I'd lug that thing for miles... or feet, just to use it :)

That's cute! Cole is such a big helper. I keep saying I look forward to the day that Shalie can clean up after herself.

My parents always said "what good are dwarfs if they don't do chores" - (their 6 children being the dwarfs) this is TOTALLY why I had kids. I can't WAIT till Annie swings the vacuum around the house...it's her mess anyway!

I love it. I am glad I am not the only one who does this. Matt loves to help clean. This means vacuum, dust and even the bathroom. Keep going on the training. It all pays off!

Nice...get the kids trained well and you'll be able to put your feet up and read a magazine or something!
