All in a day's work

I was thinking today about all the things I've learned since becoming a mother. I don't think I can even begin to calculate an exact number, but I did want to journal some things that came to mind. As far as things that I use on a daily basis, there are some things that I just can't do without. I'm such a wimp--I'm sure Mothers who used cloth diapers and washed them all by hand are rolling their eyes right now...but Heavenly Father knew I couldn't handle that so he sent me to earth in 1980. These are just some of the things that I think a Mother of 2 year old needs to have.

Goo Gone & these nifty little Diaper Sacks. Love 'em.

This is my favorite lotion for after bath time, and the Tylenol is an obvious one.

Booster chairs that kids can climb into on their own, and board books of course.

The wonderful Magic Eraser, Dust Buster and Shout. Toddlers are filthy & messy!

i agree with every one of those, except i have to say, i have not been impressed with the magic eraser. it leaves a filmy residue and hasn't "magically erased" anything i've tried using it on-- it mostly just smears it.
Is it pathetic that I only have a seven month old and love all of these things as well. My favorite is baby opium, I mean tylenol. :)

This is Jamie--sara lakes sis...I am glad I found your blog...it makes me happy. It is good to know the things I need to start collecting. Our little gal is 6 months and almost mobile and that is scary...any help is great...and you always have a way of making me smile and doing it with flair

Ya, I only have 3 on your list. I think I'll have to look into the goo gone for sure. and I don't have, but know the magic of the eraser. Thanks for sharing the "musts"

Ha ha ha! I'm glad I have friends like you to share with me the insights of motherhood before I have to learn by trial and error myself! I do have to say, though, I got an email a long long time ago about the magic eraser burning the skin of children...please be careful with those...I'd hate to see Cole get burned badly and end up in the er!

Oh crap, I guess we should stop bathing Cole with it, then.

i'm in love with infant/childrens tylenol. we get a truckload shipped to our house every month. . . . what if?

Ha ha ha! Yeah...that's not a good idea, is it?! ha ha ha!

Okay, maybe I really am that lame...but what do you do with the Goo Gone? I haven't tried the Diaper Sacks either, I have heard of them but have not found them. We just use the sacks from Smith's. And the Shout Gel is also something to try, we use the Stain stick. I too would not have done well in the cloth diaper phase of human kind.

Goo Gone is great! Although, I actually had to buy it for a mess that was more Travis's fault than Shalie's. I guess they were both to blame...stupid orange crayon!

Oh, and you can get those diaper sacks at Babies R Us.

Yay for getting those diaper sacks at Babies R Us. And as far as the magic erasers go--I think it's basically like any cleaning product, I wouldn't let Cole play with Draino, or the Shout Gel, so he doesn't get to play with the magic erasers either.

Jaime--hey! I've been stalking your blog for a while now :)Welcome, Welcome.

Farnsworth Fam--the Goo Gone is great for anything sticky or hardened...it's also good for waxy stuff like crayons.

Couldn't agree with you more. I love those products.

Rae, okay, seriously, can I come over the next time you have a photo shoot of your favorite household items? I'll bring backdrops and everything!

Oh the Dust Buster. I don't know how I ever lived without it.

wow, those are all very important, you forgot the dvd that your two year old obsesses over (at least our two year old does), be it disney, baby einstein, or whatever.
