I know this is old news--but I need to vent. I really don't think Carly should have gone home. Blah. I knew she wouldn't win, but she is better than 6th place. I think Brooke's face pretty well describes how most of us felt when they announced the results. I actually really like Brooke's style, I just think at this point almost everyone is out singing her. And thanks to votefortheworst.com I think Brooke will be around a few more weeks. I'm not losing sleep over it, it's just lame.
Next up: The internet is evil. Let me explain. I read a few blogs that talk about American Idol and quote media and news sources, and I think I might have to stop. There is SO much comparison about these two that it's getting out of control. "The man vs. the boy", "David vs. Goliath", etc. I think they are both crazy talented. Archuleta has a more stylized voice and sounds very polished. David Cook has a raw edge to him that is hard to describe, but it's appealing! I love them both--and I just have to say (because apparently I feel pretty strongly about this) that about 60% of me hopes David A doesn't win American Idol. He'd have more freedom with what kind of album he'd like to make, and not be a slave to the producers that are waiting to pounce on him and control every move he makes. Having said that--I'll be bummed when he goes home if it's before the finale. I hate reading all the garbage people are trying to "dig up" because the Davids are in the spot light. I don't think America knows either of them as well as they think they do. It's funny how I get so in to American Idol but when it comes to the end of the season, I find myself getting annoyed with all the hype over little things. Can't we just watch and enjoy? Blast the media (ironic that I'm using a major outlet of media to post my thoughts on how much they bug me). Ha!

All in all, it really doesn't matter because it will be a battle of the Davids. And all the losing contestants will go on to Broadway - like Tamyra, Clay Aiken (what's with the hair? gag.), Diana what'shername, etc. But meanwhile it is fun play along.

I have heard it before, and the first time threw me. Carly did try to sing another one. It is all lame. This is the time in the show where I hate it--someone amazing always goes. I pretty much agreed with everything you said. I need to vent somehow too. Sorry
But I like her. I could just NEVER chill with her, therefore she should leave my show. I wanted to party with Carly.
I actually like Jason. I don't care for the dreads, but I like his style. I could totally chill with him and would be more likely to buy his CD than any of the girls. I like his Jack Johnson style.
And yes, it better be a DAVID finale. If it's not, I will be bitterly disappointed.
