"Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong"

Can we ban Murphy from the premises? The yard sale was good to us. We were able to stock it away into savings...for a few days. Then we had car problems and had to replace our breaks. Then we had a few other unexpected bills come up. I guess that's why it's called "Savings", right? So that you don't have to use a credit card? I'm grateful for that and all--but honestly...Murphy needs to scram.

We've experienced the exact same thing to the point where now, if we get some extra money, we pretty much expect something bad is going to happen.

oh, sadness. but i'm glad your yard sale was a success! those puppies are a lot of work.

yeah, i wouldn't be too happy with murphy, either. hope your car got fixed and is running like a dream now.

Wow, what a blessing to have that extra cash on hand when you needed it. That's the hard thing about having that emergency fund, is when you spend it you have to rebuild it, but it sure is nice to bail you out when you really need it.

I so hear you girl. Murphy needs to take a much deserved vacation. He has enough money from everyone. :) I should think about doing a yard sale too.

that stinks!!! Sorry to hear about the car trouble. The bright side is that your plan worked. You had emergency money ready for that cursed EMERGENCY! I hear ya though-stupid murphy's law!!! Every time we build up a reserve for the hospital bills for when Hannah comes- our basement floods... there is always something eh? ;) ;) Not to mention when you have a loser SIL who stiffs you on her bill (unintentionally of course) ;) ;) SHEESH!!!! Saturday I PROMISE!!!!
