Slumber Party

Every once in a while I have a sleepover with my nieces. It's usually a birthday present that I give to them (as a certificate). Then when they redeem it, they come stay the night with Aunt Rae, get makeovers, eat pizza, watch a movie and stay up late :) It is so much fun, and it's a good way for me to bond with them. I figure the memories that we make are worth much more than the cost of a trivial gift. Last weekend we had a blast. I had Natalie and Erin (just 2 of the 7) over and there was literally not a DULL MOMENT. We ate pizza, watched Nancy Drew (cute movie, btw), ate Pringles and M&M's, did makeovers, manicures, pedicures, and I did their hair on Saturday morning. What a blast. These girls are hilarious and were cracking me up. It's fun to see them want to be grown up when they talk with me...and they think I know EVERYTHING about makeup. It's obviously so far from the truth, but because I wear it, and I'm not their mom--I must be the expert, right? Anyway, they tried to convince me to open my own hair salon and that they would tell all their friends about it. I'm telling you--they are funny. Here are some pictures we took of the sleepover. We got pretty goofy towards the end.

Oh, I had to share this--when Danny and I went to bed, we told the girls that we had a hidden camera in the living room (just to be funny) and we figured they knew we were joking because we are pretty sarcastic sometimes. Saturday morning one of them asks us if there was really a hidden camera watching them all night and I just laughed and said "no, did you really think there was?" and she said "Yes! I was worried all night that I was being recorded!" HAHAHA.

That looks like tons of fun. I love your funny faces in the pictures. Those girls are totally related to you!
Wow, you really are the best aunt on record! I'm so glad for another post. Okay, I know there have been American Idol posts, but I never know what to comment on those, so I was glad to for another "day in the life of the awesome raelynn" post. :)
