A Whole New World

Now that I am 28, I feel like a whole new person. I have better vision, lower cholesterol, a lower body fat percentage, increased stamina, a clearer concept of reality, better time management skills, my cooking has improved dramatically, I can speak 3 langues fluently and most of all--I can navigate the Wii.

Wouldn't it be great if that was actually true? I DID however have a great surprise birthday party on Saturday night which was really, really fun. Several family members got me money that contributed to a very self indulgent gift to a nice spa for a pedicure and facial (two things I have NEVER experienced) and lots of other great things. Thank you to everyone who made my day special. Danny even made me a delicious and cute cake. And don't forget--my parents sent me to the American Idol concert in July for an early birthday gift. That one was hard to beat...it probably tied with the spa treatment that I will be receiving :) I'm really excited.
I got some great pictures of my surprise birthday party--but they will have to wait until tomorrow. I never get to blog until late at night (or during nap times) and it's been tricky to fit it into my schedule while unpacking and training for a new job. It'll have to wait until tomorrow (hopefully). Peace.

How fun to get a surprise party! You know, I'm 28 too and I have no idea how to navigate our Wii yet, but I think I'm pretty much done with everything else on your list....(um, yeah.) And you totally need to have a facial and a pedicure! Those are the only two things that I really LOVE at spas, so you will be in heaven! Hey, and great job with your reunion -- it looks like it was a blast. BTW, is that Tina Christensen in one of your pictures?

Happy Birthday!!! That spa treatment will be lots of fun. I love getting pedicures, never had a facial but heard they are to die for.
So what job are you training for?

Funny that all those things really DID happen to me when I turned 28. But I am sure 29 will be a different story.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love surprise parties... and there nothing like a day at the spa-- you WILL feel like a new woman! Glad you had a good day!

Devon--yes! It WAS Tina Christensen...how the heck do you know her?

I'm glad I'm getting good feedback about the spa...I'm even more excited now (if that's possible).

You get to go to a spa! How fun. I've never had a facial, but I've had cheap pedicures at the beauty college. Yours will be better. I'm glad you had a great birthday. Wouldn't it be great if those things actually happened as we get older? If only. Have fun @ the spa!

Rae,

I am so blog-unsavy that it took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to post a comment! I love your blog page, I just spent like an hour reading your posts and catching up on your life. I really miss you here in sweltering hot phoenix. We are planning a trip to Utah this winter for some wicked snowboarding and I will definitely get a hold of you before we come so we can visit. Love ya!
