My top 10 favorite things about this move:

8. Cole will get to know his Great Grandpa Egan and his Gma and Gpa Miller better.
7. Our closet is huge.
6. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for afternoon walks.
5. My parents have a 60 something inch HDTV and cable AND a Wii. Yeah...
4. I only have to make dinner every OTHER night.
3. We have an office and it is perfect for working at home.
2. A YARD for Cole to play in.
1. We feel at peace with our decision and are excited to start putting Dave Ramsey's teachings to work!

The top 5 things I miss about where we left:
5. Our friends
4. Our friends
3. Our friends
2. Being so close to our friends
1. Our friends

Honestly--I am really lonely for some girl time. I know it's only been a couple weeks and I've been busy working and unpacking and trying to keep Cole from burning my parents' house down...but it's just not the same. We came from a tight knit group of gal pals and I feel like I graduated from college and have to be a "big girl". Other than that, we are happy and we love living right by the Prison. It is so awesome. :)

Oh yeah--a bunch of people have asked about my job. I can't talk about it, because if the government finds out I have told people, I could get my blog taken away, or worse--the internet taken away.

Actually I work for a couple dentist offices setting appointments for 6 month cleanings and exams. It's easier to reach patients in the evenings and it saves the front desk ladies from having to do it when they are busy working face-to-face with the patients. It is pretty simple (now that I have the dental software down) and it is so great to work from home a few hours every night in the evenings. Cole cannot stand that he can't come into the office with me when I "go to work". My mom watches him until Danny gets home from work...and I'm sure that's a long hour for my Mom. She is a saint. Cole still seems to be struggling with the move. He doesn't yell out that he wants to go home anymore, but now it's coming out in his behavior. Is this normal? He is ULTRA clingy and he is being more naughty than usual (or is that just the fact that he turns 3 in 2 weeks??) I'm not sure how to handle it.

On a lighter note--Cole is totally digging his new underwear. (We're not training yet, if you're wondering...I'm trying to get him adjusted to living in a new place before starting a whole new "adventure" with him).

I am surprised living by the prison didn't make your top ten list.

and great news about your job. Sounds like it's working out well! Way to sacrifice to pay off debt!! You're an inspiration to us all.

I'm sorry you miss your friends so much, but it's awesome that you made such great ones! But, how could you help it? You're you! I love Cole's underwear! :) So cute.

Good idea waiting for the move to settle in before potty training. One hurdle at a time. And , YES it's totally normal to be clingy with a new move. Rachel was the same way. Being almost 3 doesn't help either. I'm sure a big birthday bash for the big birthday boy in a couple of weeks will help.

Rachel gets sad when I go to work too, but she has gotten used to it and it helped at first that I would sit down with her and tell her where I had to go, that I would be back soon, and that she would have so much fun with Daddy. Now when I go to work she says, "BYE MOM! GO TO WORK! I CAN STAY WITH DADDY!!" (I think he feeds her ice cream for dinner or something.)

Way to go girl! Good luck!

just my opinion, but Cole being clingy seems TOTALLY normal for the move AND the age. I so know what you mean about missing friends too. It takes awhile to adjust.
