Why Didn't They Tell Me Part 3

I can explain. Remember the movie Clueless? Remember how cool it was to wear knee high socks with kilt-looking wrap around skirts? It was a school girlish look. Well I tried to pull it off in 9th grade (I think it was 9th)...and this is what happened. We were getting our pictures done as a family and each kid was getting individual photos done with something that represented something they were into or a talent/hobby they were interested in. Baseball, running, basketball--you get the idea. However, since my Dad scarred me for life by not letting me play softball as a young girl (ask him about it sometime), the ONLY thing I had to brag about was my grades. So, this was Olan Mills' lame attempt to make me feel good about being a good student. This was the look that I was going for...

Unfortunately, I didn't even come close to it. In all fairness, we didn't have a budget that would allow for top-of-the-line fashion (or anything close to it) so I just did the best with what I had. But EASY on that column and the "studying" pose. Wow and wow.
