Hilariousness & My new obsession
Where to start. I had an awesome weekend. It's been a while since I can truly say that the entire weekend was "awesome". But it really was. I think this weekend of General Conference was one of the best I've listened to in YEARS. I think I realized why today. I took copious notes. There were some talks where I didn't jot anything down because I was up and around making dinner or folding laundry or something...but for the most part, I took notes. I've already read through them and forgotten so much that I had heard. I'm so glad I got my lazy fingers in action. It's such an easy thing to do and yet I haven't done it for so long.
Watching GC with kids is tricky. I want Cole to understand that it's important to us and I want him to see that it's a priority for us. At the same time, I know he's only 3 and I don't expect him to sit down and watch it with us the entire time (or even a sliver of the time). I had a big list of things to keep him occupied while we watched and for the most part he did really great.
During sessions some of you probably saw a special on the Reflections of Christ. It might have been the entire video? I'm not sure--but basically it's all these pictures of Christ and stories from the Bible. Actual photos of the depictions of the Savior, not paintings and it's all very moving. The music was inspiring and the behind-the-scenes stuff was really interesting to watch. I think at this point, Cole was at the end of his very short rope and was totally punchy (quite literally as you'll see from the red mustache)...a little too much Crystal Light. Anyway, enjoy the vid.
Moving on...I've always been a fan of The Biggest Loser. I've been a faithful viewer since Season 2. But now that I've auditioned, I'm even more obsessed.

I have to keep telling myself that it's not the end of the world if I don't make it on the show. But I DID have a dream that I made the show and that I was with Jillian...and she said I'd make good TV because I kept making her laugh...is that a sign? Probably not, but I really did have that dream. The worst part of auditioning is that we never hear back if we aren't chosen. So, if we don't hear back in a few weeks or a month or so I guess we can just assume that we haven't been picked....then look into liposuction or diet pills. (Mostly kidding)

and dreaming of Jillian as my trainer would be more of a nightmare for me. I would pick Bob a million times over. I really do have a crush on him. Tara is the bomb this year, isn't she? That girl is so tough.
I love the Biggest Loser. I watch it faithfully. We even DVR it every week and my husband and I watch it together. We always have the discussion about which trainer we would pick. I think that Jillian would be better for me because I need someone yelling at me and in my face. Otherwise I am a little bit lazy. But we both love Bob and I think he probably forms a better relationship with the contestants. I hope you make it. You totally have my vote. But don't be a horrible game player like Ron. He is something else.
