Memorial Weekend

What a great weekend. We started out without any plans and quickly made a last minute decision to go visit Uncle Scott & Aunt Melissa...and of course the boys. Cole was ECSTATIC about seeing Spencer. Even though they still fight occasionally (please, they're 3) they had so much fun together. We made a quick trip up to Logan on Saturday morning and then came home on Sunday. Monday afternoon we went to visit my Grandma Egan's grave.

I don't remember my Grandma Egan because she died 4 days after I was born but I've heard enough stories to know that I think we would have gotten along famously. She's my kind of lady and I can't wait to meet her some day. Unfortunately, next Memorial Day I will probably be visiting my Grandma Miller's grave. She is very sick and won't live for much longer. We are taking Cole tomorrow to have some time with her while she is still lucid. It was good to not only spend some family time over the weekend but to also think about those who have gone before me. I don't take enough time to think about them, their lives and their legacies. It was a peaceful day to be at the cemetery.

Cole and Spencer were SO cute together...reading the scriptures :) What good little boys.

Danny has a way with kids, specifically babies. He loves babies and is a little bit obsessed with our newest nephew Owen. He's been able to get Owen to laugh out loud even though Owen still isn't sure quite how to express these new emotions and feelings. That is such a fun time for parents. Watching your child have "firsts" like this. He is so adorable and we can't get enough of him.
