I really do have a life
I promise. Just to prove it--I have some great pictures to show you what we've been up to.
I let Cole play in the nude in the backyard one day. No skin was burned but lots of fun was had. My Dad thinks it's disturbing, I think it's funny. I don't know what it is about bums that are so cute--they just are, dangit. Cole has always been a free spirit and here is the proof.

Cole is also the perfect child. All he eats is broccoli. Actually in all honestly this picture wasn't even slightly staged. He really does love broccoli. But right now he's going through a phase where he thinks he hates everything else. That has been really awesome to deal with.

We went to the aquarium for a playgroup and I was so focused on how much I hated the octopus that I could barely focus on anything else. Cole was running around like a crazy person taking everything in. He was going up to random kids and showing them things. I think it's time for a "stranger danger" talk because it's one thing to talk to kids, but he takes friendliness to the next level when he strikes up conversations with scary looking people at Walmart. Anyway, you need to watch this video of the octopus...he/she/it was really active and looked like it was trying to bust out. Gross.

And last but certainly not least--I really have adult friends in the neighborhood/ward. After being here close to a year I'm starting to feel more at home. I'm not even the type of person who is super shy or hard to get to know (in my opinion) so I'm not sure what took me so long. I hate being the new girl. But, we had a great time getting away from the kids and the husbands and had some delicious dinner at Red Robin. I set a rule (Heh) that we couldn't talk about our kids the whole time and it was hilarious how hard it was *cough* Holly... Towards the end, we just gave up. It's crazy because our kids are our LIVES. I feel pretty lucky because wherever I go I find cool girls to hang out with. I guess cool attracts cool, eh? :) Here's to more Nights Out. We were out until 10:00. Yep, we were PARTYING HARD.
