$4 Date Night

Danny has been wanting to see Star Trek since it came out. I had about ZERO desire to see it, but since Danny got movie tickets for his birthday, I decided to be a good wife and give it a chance. I went in with no expectations and I REALLY liked it. I want to see it again, actually. Well, before the movie began--we had some crazy fun.

You are NEVER too old to go to the dollar store and take dorky pictures. I felt like we were in High School (and I'm sure the employees thought that too). But it was such a fun night. We spent about $4 in goodies to "sneak in" to the theater.

When we got to the theater, we realized that it was the Harry Potter Midnight Premier and that things were going to get CRAZY. It was so fun to see all the people dressed up and geeking out. It made me wish I was obsessed with the books (or had at least read them, heh). I've decided that I need to read them all. Remember the last time I wanted to read a fiction book? I only got to page 60 and got bored. Let's see if I can do it!

There were actually volunteers that were dressed up like characters from the books...their costumes were pretty authentic. One lady dressed as Umbridge (sp?) spent ALL day making her dress. That's dedication. She did it just so she could get free admission to the movie. Aside from the fact that Danny cracked his skull trying to find Platform 9 3/4 and the fact that there is a totally random guy in a red shirt in the middle photo--it was REALLY fun :)

love the new blog look! it's been a while since I've stopped by.

We went to Harry the other day.. not really by choice. I would have rather seen Star Trek. Anyway, I cannot believe all those costumes. Awesome (psycho) people.
