Halloween: The Finale

Halloween was a really fun night.  It's so much more fun when you have kids around you who are so excited about every aspect of it.  Halloween with the Whites is epic :) I think my favorite part of the tradition is the homemade donuts.  Of course, it's the girls in the kitchen...but with there being so many of us, I guess that's all there's room for.  Eva does so much every year on Halloween day.  After years and years of making donuts for not just family, but neighbors and friends--I'm sure she is all tired out from this tradition but we must prevail! We must keep it alive! Let the donuts live on! I have to admit that I'm the least qualified to work with the donut dough and the fryer but I'm pretty good with dipping them in the glaze.  I'm a natural, what can I say? Angie & Emily are the true heros.

We had a nice array of costumes that night.  Erin was a princess but you can't tell from her jacket.  Natalie was a vampiress, Amy & Emily were nice witches :) Cole was a pirate, Laura was a doctor (notice the tag and the H1N1 vaccine) and Nate was Superman.  My favorite costume has a collage all of its own...so it can't be mentioned here...

Isn't everyone disgustingly cute? Ahh! The Whites make beautiful people!

And now...for the best costume in the world.  Emily had this brilliant idea to have Danny redo the Jelly Belly logo and have it say "Ellie Belly" so that Ellie could be a jelly bean for Halloween.  Of course Danny just busted this out and she used it as an iron on for Ellie's onesie and stuffed belly :) I just love this baby girl.  I could eat her right up.  Obviously Cole loves her too.  However, by the time he was willing to pose with her for a picture, she was pretty tired...

Some more goofing off with my camera and getting some cool shots of Amy and Em.

We didn't eat ANY junk food.  Just veggies, tofu and ice water.  I feel really bad for all the people who ate too much sugar that night...I'm sure they went home and felt disgusting.  Good thing I didn't... (please pick up on the sarcasm).

My Halloween posts are officially over.  Phew.  I made it.  Welcome November.

Tofu??? Ugh, I'm glad I ate Doritos and candy instead of what you had:-)

It looks like you had a blast!! What a fun group of people!
You are an awsome donut maker! It's always so much fun to get together on Halloween! Also, thanks for getting my kids ready to go trick or treating. I'm the mom of the year.

I am seriously considering the donut tradition. But I might move it a couple days before Halloween...sooo much sugar in one day! But how can you NOT love a homemade donut???

You always take the best pictures when our family gets together. And, you are a great helper with the donuts. Another year or two and I can turn it all over to you girls.
