I can't decide what's more pathetic

Getting my feelings truly hurt by a 6 year old or getting kicked out of a bunco group...thoughts?

{The six year old told me she didn't like my "bubble" (mole) and that it grossed her out AND that she didn't like to look at me}.  OUCH.

I got kicked out of Bunco because I missed 2 months in a row.  Well, I wasn't kicked out, but I was moved to the substitute list...and it was in my best interest because I hadn't gone for a while...and there was a sub who really wanted to be a part of the group permanently...and I'm moving soon anyway...so.......

yeah.  It's the 6 year old comment.  I seriously need to have that mole removed now.

You shouldn't be playing Bunco anyways...it's of the devil :)

haha. No, my group wasn't. All we did was sing hymns and bear testimony of the truthfulness of the game.

Why do little kid's comments hurt our feelings so badly?

When working at Kiddie Kandids I had just come off a lunch break and was taking a family picture when the five year old said, "Ew! Your breath smells like garbage!" And the whole family is just sitting there staring at me.

Awkward.

And HAHAHAHA to your Bunco comment about Testimony bearing, you witty girl! :)

First of all, that 6 year old is a brat. I know kids say dumb stuff, but by 6 they should know better than to be so mean. (Hoping the kids wasn't your niece or something.) Their parents need to teach the kid a thing or two about manners. Seriously.
PS. You are a hot momma, so tell the kid to shove it.

Kids just say WHATEVER they're thinking. In the years that I've been a teacher I've seen them find something to say to EVERYONE...and it's all been awkward. I think it's something that we all have to go through when we work with kids. =) I once heard an 11 year old tell one of our youngest (and most beautiful teachers) that she looked like a cracked watermelon (she had a small scar on her forehead)!! What the what!?!? I'm telling you...they just aren't thinking. Don't take it personally. =)
Hooray for moving soon!!
Sorry about Bunco, guess it's time to form your own group eh? Hee hee hee!

Ahhh Rae! Your "Bunco group" is missing out without you there. In all seriousness though- I believe that may be the problem right there- the "exclusiveness" of the game. I mean ousted after 2 months of being inactive? Yikes....good thing they don't run the ward! Maybe you should start a new group. It could be the fun alternative to the boring original. Just kidding- I am sure they are all just lovely ladies... ;)
