Pioneer Day in Pictures
Brunch at IHOP with my padres. I think I've only been there once in my life. Had cinnamon roll french toast. I could actually hear myself getting fatter. Dang. It was good.
We had a great day. At one point Danny and my's cell phones were both dead and we were so irritated that we had to hunt down a phone list to call someone. No texting?! What?! It made us laugh because of all days to feel that way--it was Pioneer Day. Yeah, Pioneers didn't have anything even close to what we have today. Poor us, we had to look for a phone list. How did the Pioneers do it? ;)
Me and Papa
My hotty husb
Cole has Grandma arms!
Then we hung out at Greg and Angie's house while they were at a rodeo. HEH. Good thing they're generous and gave us a green light.
Showing off his acrobatic skills.
I told Cole to put his arms around Ellie for a hug. She pretty much didn't want to touch him. There was food to be eaten!
Like this cookie...
Ellie couldn't take her eyes off it!
You can see her hand reaching up so Cole popped the rest of it in his mouth.
So Ellie opted for a healthier choice--strawberries.
If you really are what you eat--this girl would be a strawberry.
We made smores and played with sparklers (well, Ellie and Danny did). She was MESMERIZED.
Cole has developed some really irrational fears lately. He's always been afraid of fireworks and sparklers were no exception. Poor kid.
Maybe one day we won't have to try to force him to enjoy things like that. It seems like when I was a kid I couldn't wait to get my hands on a sparkler. Who knows--maybe one more year will do the trick.
