Some news...

Even though there is a LOT going on right now, I'm not sure how much I care to blog about.  One thing is certain: we are moving.  Again.  I swear we just got unpacked...It was very unexpected but very welcome.  We've been squished into this apartment for a year and while it has definitely served its purpose and helped us get back on our feet, we are ready to feel a little more settled.  We're also ready to have a third bedroom.

I've been feeling like Cole needs a neighborhood to play in and a more stable environment to surround him.  Apartment life isn't great when kids get older and we found an A-MA-ZING deal which totally landed in our laps.  We weren't really even looking, per se.  We'll still be in WeJo which we're cool with and we'll be pretty close to Gma White which is awesome...also 3 houses away from a new community park.  Hello.  Things have been running smoothly so far, we just need to get someone to take over our lease...breathe...everything will work out :) We're moving in less than a month and spent the entire day at IKEA, cleaning, organizing, taking pictures of our apartment and getting ready to list it on the usual sites (KSL, craigslist, etc.) We're going to start showing our apartment next week so if you know of anyone who is looking, send 'em on over :)

One thing I did want to show (because we are so proud of it) is the fact that I took the advise of one of my friends (thanks Jenn) and took down our vertical blinds to get rid of the "motel" feel and got some cheap curtains at IKEA.  It makes the room so much more cozy and homey.  Danny trimmed and hemmed the curtains and THEN put them up all while I was organizing Cole's room which took an eternity.  It was a battle getting him not to see some of the stuff I wanted to give away to D.I. and we had to compromise on a few things.  Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Behold the beauty:

Cole's room turned out pretty cute too :)

Looks so awesome! I think the curtains really make your apartment look so cozy and warm and welcoming! I hope you get someone to take your lease soon so that you can just look forward to moving to your new great place!

I love the curtain idea! I didn't even think of that as an option, but makes sense! Moving is no fun, but once you get into a house (I'm assuming you're renting a house?), I'm sure it'll b worth the effort. Good luck! And hopefully the ward will be better this time around.. ;-)

No fair!

"Danny trimmed and hemmed the curtains and THEN put them up..."

What universe are YOU living in, and can I move there? I don't think my husband would even know the word "hem" if it snuck right up on him and took an inch off his pants.

Exciting for your new adventure!
