31 on the 31st

It was my golden birthday.  Kind of a big deal if you're in to cool things (like I am).  It was a great day considering the fact that I had to work.

My trainer decorated my cubicle and got me some snickers peanut butter squares.  Um, hi.  Then one of the girls in my training class brought us CUPCAKES from the Sweet Tooth Fairy.  Holy shnikes. Those were good.  I even got people honoring my request to start every sentence that day with "Since it's RaeLynn's birthday..." it was awesome.  Even the Associate Director over Rx said it.  That pretty much made my day.

After getting off work, I was surprised to see my handsome husband and Cole in the parking lot! We dined at Cafe Rio while I opened my birthday gift.  Women, if you want your husband to get you something specific for your birthday, blog about it.  Then send them an email with a link to pictures of the exact thing you want.  Works for me :)  The actual email I sent Danny:

if you want to get me anything with this scent for my birthday, it's totally fine.  just sayin'.

And boom.  Works like a charm...and I'm pretty sure the guys appreciate it too :)

It was nothing over-the-top spectacular but it didn't need to be.  I was with the people I loved, I got lots of birthday wishes on Facebook (and as cheesy as it sounds, it actually does make me feel good) and some fun voice messages, texts and emails throughout the day.

Earlier in the week, we had family dinner with the Whites and Danny out-did himself with this beauty:

I'm so lucky to have a man that can whip things like this up.

I have no clue why I looked kind of ticked in this video:

Cole has also sharpened his culinary skills with this masterpiece:

I hate to compare them side by side but...

Isn't he cute though? I love that he wanted to be involved so Danny let him do his own.  Genius.

Then the Sunday AFTER my birthday, we celebrated with the Millers and did a joint party for my brother Brian and I (our birthdays are only 8 days apart).  Danny jacked his back up and couldn't make it so the cake was nothing special (because I ended up making it).  But isn't it super neat-o how the candles spell out "B + R"? Is that inappropriate? No? Just lame? Fine. However, the frosting with homemade and CHERRY. Yum.

Nice tie, Bro.

One of my favorite things about my family is being able to act like a total moron and there's pretty much no judging because everyone else is usually acting like a moron too :)

Licking the frosting.  It's tradition.

I love how excited Brian is for me... haha

31 one-dollar bills...(or maybe more, I'll never tell).  I've secretly always wanted to pull a long string of money out of a box.  Dream come true.

We'll throw this in there to wrap up the post.  My Grandpa Egan never smiles like this and I love it! So thanks to whoever took this picture w/ my camera!

I had to remove the last picture I posted here because I KNEW I would be permanently taken out of the family will. (There was ice cream and a parent's open mouth involved).

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MAKE MY "GOLDEN BIRTHDAY" GREAT!!

I will now answer in segments.

**1 I LOVE my birthday and have expanded it to an entire week but I have never, ever thought to dictate how people begin their sentences. I LOVE THIS IDEA and will be stealing it for Facebook. Huzzah!

**2 I love families that act like morons. There's no better kind of family.

**3 I miss the "moron" named Brian. tell him and Kambree hello for me?

**4 I look pissed in EVERY video of me too, or, on the flip-side, I look like a complete and utter crazy person. There is no in-between and I'm really working on my "I'm a normal happy adjusted woman just sitting here" face.

Happy Belated and you're awesome. :)
