October fun and Halloween 2013

The weather in October was awesome! We took lots of walks to help in my recovery and to get out of the house to enjoy the sunshine.

We met up with friends at Murray Park:

Nursing at the park is cool. Especially in flip flops.
Hilarious posing

The leaves were beautiful as always. Let the record show that I love Murray park.

We dressed Caleb up in his costume as Mike Wasowski

 He cried

My dear friend Brittany came over to take some pictures of Caleb. She wanted to practice her photography skills and I wasn't about to turn her away.

Cole had his baptismal interview with our new Bishop. He was the Bishop's very first interview.

Found this on my phone later...
Also found these on my phone later...do you love the booger?
Hanging with Aunt Laura

And I take no less than 1.5 million pictures of Caleb...only a few of which I will now share:
"I can't put my arms down!"

Caleb Anderson spends some quality time with the Andersons

And with his Aunts:

I find this in the family room compliments of Cole:

We made fun Halloweenie treats.

Danny took Cole to the Peterson Family Farm and Cole ran into a fellow Marvel dude:

A few days before Halloween we were hit by the Phantom ghost. We were supposed to make a treat and spread the haunting to two neighbors.

We went with Frankenstein cookies

The day before Halloween we decided we should carve a pumpkin or something. I was finally able to move around better after surgery and we wanted to do something fun as a family. We hit up the nearest pumpkin patch which was pretty picked over and found a couple pumpkins that weren't total duds. We grabbed a pumpkin shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's on the way home and enjoyed some quality family time.

One of my favorite pictures of these two.

Cole's face says it all.

On Halloween day, I was kind of overwhelmed with trying to get to the school to see the morning costume parade since it was so early and I was still getting the hang of having a newborn. I decided to simplify and not go. Cole was disappointed but I think once I explained why I couldn't make it, he understood. I've had to learn that I just can't get up and go anymore and that's OK. I have to pick and choose what I do so that I don't get completely overwhelmed. Around 2:00 PM we showed up at Danny's work who had some seriously impressive decor going on which you can't really see in this picture{office contest}. His co-workers were anxious to meet Caleb and I was anxious to meet some of his co-workers. Caleb peed through his costume within the first 45 minutes there. Thankfully I had a backup.

After getting home, we got Cole ready to go trick-or-treating and Cole was wanting to go with Nate. I dropped him off so that he could go with Nate and his neighborhood buddies while Danny and I had some dinner and relaxed for a bit.

Melt. My. Heart.

Wolverine & Captain America

I think after about an hour {maybe less}of trick-or-treating, the boys were done and went back to Greg and Angie's to devour their spoils. We went and picked up Cole since he had school the next day {booo!} and called it a night.
