Cole Turns 9
Cole had a Sunday birthday this year. Let's be honest, Sunday birthdays aren't quite the same. They aren't terrible, but it's just...different. We still know how to have a good time. It's funny how balloons make that big of a difference. I'm a big fan of balloons. They make everything more fun.
Wondering what the heck these big blobs of color are. |

I know I say this every single year but I really can't believe that my baby is NINE years old. It's so weird. He is growing up before my eyes. Saying funny things and starting to act more grown up. He's very aware about what the kids at school are saying/doing and we've already had to have "the talk" with him. Both talks, actually. The Santa talk and the Birds & the Bees talk. That's how you know when they're growing up. A little bit of innocence is taken away. But in 2014, if you don't talk to your kids about sex, pornography, internet safety, morals, manners and God--the world will...and who knows WHAT they'll be taught. We'd rather have him taught in the home by parents who are open, candid and try to follow the Spirit with when we have these delicate and sometimes sacred conversations. He's a good boy and has a testimony that he isn't' afraid to share in sacrament meeting {which I love}. I love my little Coley Pokey
I'm sure it's been quite an adjustment for him to go from being the one and only kid on campus but he is doing a great job of adjusting and he is such a caring, FUN big brother. Caleb is smitten with him and lights up when Cole comes in the room. I love watching their connection grow.
Once we get Cole's birthday interview, I'll have to get this updated but for now, this will do.
