Family Vacation Day 4

We were up bright and early Monday morning to head over to the land of Disney. We knew the line for Radiator Springs Racers was going to crazy so we {not me} opted to wait in the line to get into California Adventure so we could get fast passes and then go on the ride first thing.

This is what we got to wait in. I'm not as hardcore Disney as the Whites are so I didn't love the idea but I went along with it because you gotta pick your battles :)

This was taken while we waited in line. I posted it on Instagram with the caption "Happiest Place on Earth" but only a couple people caught on to the irony {he was actually not happy} but it could have gone either way with that face so it kinda worked.

We went straight to the ride while Scott got fast passes and still waited 45 minutes. Insane, I tell you. It was totally awesome though. "That was totally wicked!" Cole went on it too and even though he was a little nervous about going so fast, I think we had prepared him as best we could. He was a good little sport.

I opted out of Tower of Terror and somehow they talked Cole into going {peer pressure from younger cousins who had gone on it}. Cole hated it. I'm pretty sure he is crying in the picture.

Caleb and I hung out and enjoyed the perfect weather.

After lunch, I wanted to take Caleb back to the Condo to get some rest since he is still a 2 nap a day kind of kid and I wanted him to be able to survive the rest of the day. As we were leaving California Adventure, I had some of Scott's bread bowl with super dense sourdough bread. It got caught in my throat and drinking some water just made it worse. I ended up throwing up in a flower bed right in front of a staring woman on a bench. Not my proudest moment. I felt instantly better though. I've never experienced that before--pretty weird.

While I was napping with Caleb, they somehow talked Cole into SPACE MOUNTAIN. The most dark, intense ride in the entire park. The poor kid had no idea what was coming. Apparently he cried through most of that ride too. He may need counseling afterwards but I think he was secretly proud of himself for doing something he was afraid to do.

I didn't take many pictures the rest of that day. It was May 4th though, so naturally they had to get a Star Wars themed picture. The parks closed early that night so we headed home to eat and hang out. I was anxious to soak my feet so that this year didn't turn out like our last visit where I was literally in a wheel chair on the last day! Day 1 at the park was a success.

Okay, I'm going to need Radiator Springs Racer advice. We're headed to Dland in October with the Bowler clan. Is it worth trying to go on the ride? Or just get fast passes? Or stick with single rider? Or possibly skip it altogether? Sounds like a lot of fun though...
