And the Sube dies...
What a couple of days we've had. I got a call from Danny last night saying that the Subaru had completely died, and he was going to call road side assistance through Verizon and get the car towed home. Luckily since we were within 10 miles of home, the tow was FREE! Gotta love Verizon...anyway, the guy who worked for the towing company acted like he absolutely hated his job. (Not that I blame him), but we were trying to be all nice and talkative, but he was so weird. I know I probably shouldn't be this way, but for some reason, when people are cranky with me, it makes me want to try that much harder to talk to them, and get them to talk and open up...which usually irritates the crankster. Ha! Anywho--so this guy's name was Jack according to his shirt, and I asked him, "Like Jack the Ripper??", and without even blinking he says "something like that". Creepy...
I asked him if I could take his picture for our blog, and he said "no, it's taboo." (I don't really think he knows what taboo means, bless his heart), so I asked him why he doesn't like getting his picture taken and he said "I just don't--and I don't like talking either." hahaha. He was just egging ME on at this point, so I prod further..."well what do you talk about with your girlfriend or your wife?" He just responded "anything but work." (Did I mention he kept looking at me like he was burning a hold in my head?) *Coo Coo*. So he wasn't any fun to bug any more. Aside from the fact that he was still crazy--he busts out a lighter and holds it up to the car window, and when I asked him what he was doing he said "checking for the VIN # if that's okay with you". Yeah, somebody didn't wake up on the right side of the bed this morning. He was just way crankier than US, and we were the ones getting our car towed! Anyway--whatever. We have no idea if the car even starts or what the deal is. We might be a one car family again pretty soon here. Hopefully not--but we'll see what happens.
