Happy Birthday Rae

I know it's a couple weeks late. But I really wanted to blog a little bit about what a GREAT day my birthday was. It was probably one of the best birthdays I remember having in a long time! I woke up to some cute decorations that Danny had put up, and then went to have breakfast with some friends who I've kept in touch with since High School (and some even longer). Danny surprised me with Seasons 1 & 2 of The Office on DVD, and then 4 of my fabulous friends: Kathy, Stephanie, Brittney and Valerie all pitched in to get me Season 3. It was a total surprise, and I had no idea that they had coordinated it with Danny. Tricky eh? Am I loved or what? I was elated. I think more than the gifts--was all the emails, phone calls, and cards I got. Each one was genuine and thoughtful--and really made my day. It's funny how a birthday is "just a day" until everyone around you makes you feel like a super star. Danny's side of the family gave me movie tickets, a GC to Red Robin (YUM!) and some cash, and my side of the family gave me a GC to Old Navy, spending $ and some delightfully scented shower gels from Bath and Body Works. Yeah, I got totally spoiled!! Then, when Danny came home from work, he brought me some huge gorgeous roses! I seriously feel like I am the luckiest girl ever to have such good friends and family. It's been a rough year for me, (as much as I hate to admit it) and all this attention was kind of nice. heh....anyway, thanks to everyone who made it so special. 27 is definitely off to a good start!
