Slammed by a 2 year old

I've been singing around the house a lot lately (perhaps because of my secret desire to audition for American Idol?) and Cole doesn't love it. Everytime I start to sing he starts shouting "MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY!" like the Post Man is about to take off with him. When he gets my attention he shouts something completely random like "SPONGEBOB!" or "POTTY!" or "GRANDMA'S HOUSE!"

The best part is this: the louder I sing, the louder he shouts. So when I'm belting the theme song of Dragon Tales--he is literally shrieking "MOOOOOMMMMY!!!" His most recent random blurt was "SO SCARED!"

It hurts Cole. It really hurts.

but noah does that at night when i try to sing to him at bedtime. "no sing!" he says. okay, FINE.
..."COME ALONG TAKE MY HAND, LET'S ALL GO TO DRAGON LAAAAND!" It IS rather scary, i must agree. still laughing.

Ha ha! You seriously got burned! That is so dang funny. Parker will flat out just yell at me, "MOMMY, STOP SINGING, You're not on the radio!" I sound pretty bad though so I can't blame him.

Love it! I am also a member of the "I think I can sing, but my family doesn't" club.

That is awesome. How sweet is it that he tries to divert your attention rather than saying something mean?!

It's after 2:30 in the morning and I should be in bed but I couldn't sleep. At least I'm laughing from reading your post. I love it! Cole should just be glad you CAN sing because I can't and so most of the time I sing even worse than I am, on purpose, to cover it up. My poor kids.
