'Sup with us
I keep thinking that I have NOTHING to blog about but then I go through my pictures and crack up because I remember taking pictures of things and then forget about them. Here are some things that we've been up to.
Cole has discovered my jewelry and he is quite taken with my bracelets. Specifically ones that he can wear around his ankles without breaking. This one is a favorite of his. It's actually ONE bracelet that is meant to look like two. It's got a cute little ribbon connecting it in the middle. He walks like a penguin but isn't that cute?! And who doesn't love a chubby little bum in buzz lightyear undies? He basically lives in his underwear since we are constantly attempting to potty train. Pray for us. Kidding.
I decided about a month ago that I wanted to try having bangs again even though the last time I had bangs {do you remember that awful picture?} I went home and cried. Well, this time I cut them at home with my own scissors and I have to say, I did a pretty dang good job.
I love this last picture because Cole is CLEARLY coveting this toy that his cousin got for her birthday and it's just killin' him that he can't get his hands on it. He's doing such a good job. Just keep suckin' your thumb buddy--it'll keep you strong.

Cole loves to try anything he sees adults do. So when Papa puts on his sleeping mask {hope this doesn't embarrass him} Cole wants a try at it. He liked it until the oxygen starting pumping out. I think it freaked him out.
Lately we've been noticing TONS of deer across the street. That phase of the neighborhood hasn't been built yet, and we keep seeing deer just chillin' literally across the street. I don't know where they're coming from. The Oquirrhs? Did they just escape from prison? Last time we counted at least 20!!
Thirdly, I will be the first to admit that I am no design queen. I don't ever want to be. I think the more into it you get--the more snobby you become and the more expensive your taste will be. I just want something simple and cute that represents me. Having said that--our bedroom is pathetic. Seriously. The walls are a drab white and we just have nothing going on. We are on a SUPER tight budget. So come up with something. If you love me, you'll help.

I'll save the best for last.
My mom and I have been trying to decide what to do with this big empty space above the entry way since they moved here {over a year ago!} and we finally decided to bust it out. Dad vacuumed, I climbed up the ginormous ladder, endured a 2 minute panic attack and then got to work. Easy on me not having an after shot. Believe me, it's cute. We put up some Evergreen trees, a wooden bench, pine cones, and green floor covering. Anyway, it's very cabinesque which really jives with the whole look of my parents' house. I love it.
No surprise that Cole thinks he's a cat since we have 2 roaming around. He crawls, meows, gets into the cat food and curls up in the cat's bed. Gross...he gets covered with cat hair. Ugh. Before we know it he'll be pooping in the kitty litter.
Here is a shot of Cole breaking out his facial expressions for the camera. This is serious business. I wish he'd take it more seriously...
Finally. The other night Danny was putting Cole to bed so that we could watch a movie sans child. Cole talked Danny into letting him sleep in our "big bed" and Danny, being SO innocent and TRUSTING his 3 year old child let him. When he told me Cole was up in our room, I jokingly said "watch, we'll go up there and he'll be watching moves and eating popcorn". Not too far off, actually. After the movie, we head up to bed. The light is on, there are DVDs scattered all over the bed, he's got the phone off the hook, his sippy cup tipped over, cars inside my makeup case, makeup all over the floor and he looks completely WASTED. Partying is hard when you're 3. I wonder how long he lasted. It looked like he had a fantastic time. Oh to be a fly on the wall...

Where did you get the wall vinyl? That is one thing I want, I just want this phrase in vinyl in our kitchen: "Real people live here." I seriously have to tell myself that when the dishes pile up, or when the house isn't as clean or neat as I want.
Also, love Cole's party in your room! What trusting nice parents you are!
als this - i love your blog. cole is adorable.
