Breaking The Bank

I have come to terms with the fact that Cole just isn't going to potty train until I've completely given up and started buying adult size diapers. Honestly, I understand that kids do it when they're ready and that you shouldn't force them and I DON'T. I encourage it but if I can tell he's starting to back off and get defensive, I let it go. More than that is the cost of diapers. I don't know how parents with multiple children in diapers afford it. Maybe they (or their husbands) are in the Mafia? I am this close (holding my thumb and forefinger very close together) to doing cloth diapers.

Kidding. I don't think I could do it. I'm a wimp.

I think its only cheaper if you actually wash them at home as opposed to having a diaper service. And who wants to rinse, wash, rewash, bleach,....ugh. Any woman who does that is crazy! Or just really frugal:)

OH wow...I had no idea there were even services out there that did that. Very cool :)

If it makes you feel better, Shalie is still being a turd about potty training. I'm about to go crazy! She goes through phases (and mind you, we "potty trained" her back in October). Right now she's in a phase where she pees her pants several times a day. Seriously I'm about to go nuts! Sometimes she'll go days without accidents, and then there are days like today where she peed 4 or 5 times. I don't get it. Let me know if you figure it out. I may be buying adult diapers right along with you at this rate.

Potty training is not fun. I DARE you to do cloth diapers.

I refused to potty train my kids. My Mom SWORE by waiting until 3- and I totally did the same thing. By 3, they pretty much do it themselves. I totally recommend it. Earlier is a waste of time. and, to save money- you can do what my hometeacher does- leave the diapers on until they fall off themselves- just be there to catch em, and on you go. 2, maybe 3 a day tops ;)

Unfortunately, Cole is almost 4 and still couldn't care less. *sigh*
