Riverton Days

If you're into judging people--you are going to love this post.

Saturday we went to Riverton Days to get out of the house and into the sun. It was so fun because we've never done anything like that as a family. Cole was very specific about what rides he would and wouldn't go on...but once he decided on a ride, he had a blast. It was so cute seeing him on these rides without any help from us. My BABY! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. In fact, after getting him all set up on the carousel he said "Ok Mom, get down now". Excuse me?? It's starting to happen...he's starting not to need me and I am only 50% okay with that. It was hot as all get out but it made it seem like a legit summer day. Great way to spend the 4th of July.

Here's where you can judge us:

There were girls there handing out free Red Bull drinks (diet and regular) and since I'm all about free stuff, of course we took some. It's actually not bad tasting! We got the sugar free kind and as bad as Cole wanted some, I wouldn't' cave because obviously more energy is the LAST thing on the planet that he needs. We thought it was funny to pose for a picture with the girls, though. (See? I'm not THAT bad of a mother--I do put my foot down occasionally). By the way, we don't even let him drink carbonation unless just a few drinks...so I'm pretty much Mother of the Year 2009, sorry if you were my competition. I win. Why do I need to defend myself?! I must feel guilty deep down inside...dah well.

By the way, we were TOTALLY the annoying parents who are yelling their child's name to try and get pictures/video of them because he's our only child and we want to document his every breath. I wonder if 3 year olds are old enough to be embarrassed about that??

Riverton days looks like fun. I always laugh when I realize that I am that embarrassing parent. I can hardly wait for Jayben to ask me to stop embarrassing him.

oh don't be hard on yourself Rae- since I am NOT in the running for mother of the year I will confess here and now that Julia and Gracie get a Dr. Pepper with their breakfast. We are waiting for ALL of Hannah's teeth to come in before we start her on it....no sense in ruining one tooth at a time when we can get it all done at once. ;)

P.S. thanks for helping "miss brunette" in the bottom picture to be a tinsy bit mroe modest ;) ;)

so, are we judging you because you drank a red bull or because cole is holding one? either way - i'm going to hell a lot faster than you are. p.s. love the censor star.

Geez, Britney...easy on the red bull. Just kidding I SO don't judge people. Riverton Days looks AWESOME!! Kaysville used to do a carnival like that but they've changed the past few years. Way to be mother of the year.

You're awesome. And Mother of the year should totally be you (I mean, those weren't HOOTERS waitresses or anything, were they?) And your post about diapers. We totally potty trained our 2 year old because I couldn't stand buying diapers for two kids anymore. It was crazy! But I feel your pain. Potty training is the worst!

i'm going to have to agree with steph (but insert me where she mentions herself). please, he's holding a red bull. at least he doesn't excitedly shout out, "COLD BEER!!!" at the grocery store as you pass the display, much to the judgmental Look of the shelf-stocking man. (yes, carson. that IS cold beer, but we still don't drink it.)
You are hilarious! I love your blog... have I told you that?
Oh and Yes, Dave is in the Mafia. Lol!
We have both had the summer off so we figured it was a great excuse to have tons of fun before real life begins. Ha ha!
