Wheat Bread for Dummies

I have to say it that way because that's exactly what it is. And not to put myself down...but I don't exactly have a "way" with breads of any kind. So this recipe was a real shocker. My SIL Emily gave it to me when I fell in love with the bread we'd been eating while at her house. I doubt it can get any easier than this. Please trust me on this. I don't do bread--but I feel like a rockstar when I pull these loaves out of the oven.

Whole Wheat Bread

Combine:
6 C wheat flour
2 Tbsp yeast (slightly rounded)
1/2 C gluten
4 C warm water

I just threw this in the KitchenAid mixer for 2-3 minutes.

Add:
1/3 C oil
1/3 C honey
1 Tbsp salt

Turn on mixer and add roughly 4 more cups of flour. Knead dough in mixer for approx. 10 minutes. Instead of using flour on the counter top while rolling the dough into loaves, try using butter. Divide dough into 4 parts. Raise to double. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

EASY. TASTY. DIVINE.

Alright. I'm convinced but if my bread doesn't turn out absolutely delicious I'll have to beat ya.

I jsut decided I want to start making homemade bread, and low and behold, what do I find on Miss Rae's blog? You rock. I just learned how to make homemade jam, so naturally I need some homemade bread to go with it. This looks awesome. I will let you know how it turns out. :)
