Cole's Mini-Feast

Last week Cole's class had a "Thanksgiving Feast" that was more like a mini buffet for little people.  It was perfect for 4-5 year olds.  One of Cole's teachers cooked a turkey and her father-in-law turned off the oven half way through the night! So we heated up frozen chicken sticks and the kids didn't care an ounce.  We really do have the best room mothers and moms will come in randomly just to help out when we have activities.  It's been fun to get to know some of the kids' moms.  The day was so chill.  We had a great lunch, extended recess, rest time and then vegged out watching Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving something or other...not sure about the title.  Recess was fantastic.  I think I still have sand between my toes.  We played a munchkin version of sand volleyball, built sand castles and played tag.  Don't worry, I can still win a race with a 4 year old. Phew.

Ironically enough, Cole isn't in this picture.
He's probably off trying to steal a pumpkin cookie.

Cole is ever so politely explaining that he doesn't need apples because his tummy wants chocolate.  All the moms out there can appreciate how cool I felt.

I finally convinced him that he had to eat at least 4 grapes before having a cupcake.  I swear it took him 20 minutes to eat 4 grapes.  Such a chore...

Cole's fabulous teachers.  Mrs. Trisha & Mrs. Audrey.

The class I help out with everyday for their rest time was having their feast too.
Mrs. Johnson got in the Pilgrim Spirit :)

I can't leave out Cole's "girlfriend"

Do you think I ate one? They were calling my name!

Or did I eat one of these? Also calling my name in a pumpkin-like voice.

I was a good girl and stuck with my fruits & veggies.
Fine, I had one cookie, too.

Our lovely TA.  Forget Study Hall...she gets to color and eat lunch with the kids!

And last but not least--vegging in front of the TV.  They only watch movies about 3 times a year so they had to take advantage of it!

THE END.

It seems like Cole is in a really good school. Fun times! I don't have your self-discipline. I would have gone for the cupcake, the pumpkin cookies, and then the fruits and veggies out of guilt.
