Home Sweet Home
We're heeeeeeeeeeere. We made it! Yesterday was an interesting day. I was still in zombie land from this ridiculous cold (which we actually found out yesterday was a sinus infection) but things went well with the move. We had lots of help from our brothers and dads. We are so lucky to have family members that will donate their time to lift heavy boxes and go up and down stairs all morning (we live on the 3rd floor!). {Thank you Doug, Greg, Scott, Jeff, Al, Brian and Willie}. Oh, and the little kid with the orange shirt that lives here in the complex. He was helping out too and wouldn't even accept a donut for all his hard work :) Cole now refers to him as "the kid in the orange shirt" who is his "best friend".
Danny is a rockstar. I feel like he has totally made up for what I haven't been able to do with this move. I pretty much just layed back (physically) and he did almost all the work. I helped pack but as far as everything else goes--he handled it and I REALLY appreciate that. After everything was moved in we went to Danny's parents' house because Danny needed internet for his homework, I needed a major nap and Cole needed someone to entertain him since his parents were both dead tired and boring.
We decided to go to InstaCare for a couple reasons:
1. Danny has had this big, red lump on his thigh that is growing and hardening. Poor guy.
2. I've been feeling horrible for weeks and was at my wit's end.
So our date night consisted of waiting around at the InstaCare F-O-R-E-V-E-R. I have a lovely sinus infection and finally got some meds and Danny has an infected spider bite. Nice. So, we are now both on antibiotics. It's funny because we're taking different kinds and mine are pink & red and his are blue & green. Isn't that tender and so very romantic?
So, aside from that yuck and the fact that we have no food in the apartment (besides random pantry stuff) things are good. We feel like we're playing house and it's so much fun. We've had stuff in storage that we haven't seen for a couple years so it's like Christmas everytime we open a box. Oh, and we have access to a neighbor's wireless internet. HEH. But do not fear--our Comcast installation was just complete. It was fun to feel sneaky for a few hours though.
Well, I need some rest. That's my update for the day.
The Series Finale of LOST is on tonight and we have one big massive party planned with Danny's side of the family. HOW WILL IT END??!!
