Random Tuesday Strikes
I feel like writing about everything and nothing. You'll get a bit of both today. Lucky you!
* We're having hamburgers for dinner. Real hamburgers. With all the fixins and WATERMELON. Oh seedless watermelon, I adore you so. Enough to eat you.
* Danny is doing the meat because I can't find it in myself to touch the raw beef. I've always kind of had this thing for raw meat but it's getting worse and worse. I know, I'm cool.
* I think I'm getting slightly sunburned. It's funny how being out at recess everyday is enough to give me some major sun. I finally broke down and got sunscreen (that sounds so dumb, like I finally broke down and started wearing my seatbelt...duh, everyone should wear sunscreen). I wish my legs and neck could trade places so I could get some sun on these pasty logs.
* Summer camp is coming together. I think we're finally getting into a groove and we have some really fun themes. I think I'm enjoying it just as much as the kids. Everyday we're up to our elbows in paint, crayons, glitter (which yes, I do hate myself for because I'm still sweeping it up a week later) and all sorts of fun stuff. I'm pretty much an expert on the difference between African and Asian elephants and I know some pretty trippy stuff about dolphins. Also, I had the privilege of explaining breast feeding to 5-8 year olds when they saw pictures of a baby elephant feeding from its mother. Yep...that was fun :) We're hitting the zoo tomorrow and then I get to talk about Pandas and Zebras. If you have any creative ideas--I'm now open for comments...
* I actually had a parent in the classroom this morning show me how to do a proper push-up. No lies. It's actually worthy of its own blog post. I figure since there are hundreds of kids at the school and a bunch at summer camp, if I keep things SUPER vague, I can share some hilarious things. Ahh, you thought people watching was fun...I get to experience it first hand everyday.
I actually have more to say but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I've got stuff to do before tomorrow. Blog ya later...
