There's more where this came from...
Any Napoleon Dynamite fans out there? That just made me laugh to myself. I will be blogging more about Cole's day but for now I'm too exhausted to do it. We had a great day, I managed to make a really cute cake that tasted off (which I can explain), Cole got sung to several times and he now has more money than Danny and I. Being five must be really tough.
Since it's still his birthday, I wanted to say 5 things that I absolutely LOVE about this boy:
1. Cole loves people. He has no reservations when showing love and affection. He wants to be friends with everyone and makes strangers smile on a regular basis.
2. Cole is my comic relief. Life can be stressful...but Cole makes me laugh literally EVERY single day. He has such a spunky personality. Sometimes even when he's not trying to be funny--he is.
3. Cole is happy. He was a happy baby, a happy toddler and will probably always be infectiously happy. Of course he has his tantrums and melt downs but for the most part, he is passionate about life and lives it to the fullest. He's such a good example on how to be happy no matter what.
4. Cole is smart. He loves math and is always making observations about what letter he bit his pretzel in to, what pattern his blocks are in and what shape any type of object is in. I don't know if I'm explaining this well enough but he is instinctively smart with things that aren't "common sense" to a 5 year old. He is incredibly curious and wants to know everything about everything.
5. Cole is creative. He doodles on his homework. He colors on everything (yes, even his walls). He is always creating things and is so excited to show it to us. I think he gets his creativity from Danny and his passion from me. A good combination in my opinion. :)
I was only going to name 5 but I can't help and add that Cole has such a strong testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus. He talks about them as if he truly knows them. He asked me today why Jesus gave him the dot on his arm (a birth mark). He's always bringing him up in conversation and his prayers are so simple and sweet. He'll usually bless Jesus to be "healthy & wealthy". Cracks me up.
Well, off to bed. More tomorrow. Adieu.
