Zoo Lights
This year Christmas Eve was a little different than normal. We started it off with going to Hogle Zoo to experience the zoo lights. Santa and his reindeer (seriously, one of them) did a "parade" down the sidewalk and then the sight seeing began. I have to say that even though it was nice and chilly as opposed to being 100 degrees in the middle of the summer I was sad not to see many of the animals. Even the ones that were supposed to be fairly active were just snoozing which was a bummer. The last time Danny went to the zoo was on his birthday right after we got married. We left the zoo early because we got a phone call from the apartment complex we were moving into and they told us if we could move in the next 2 weeks we'd save $100 on our rent every month (or something like that) so we rushed home to start packing. Wow, that seems like forever ago...
ANYwho, I thought it was pretty fun. Not amazing fun, but I was glad we went. Cole had a blast and that's what made it fun. He gives such great reactions..it's hard not to smile when he gets excited over something.
