Days 7-9 Bathroom!
I've decided that to any not-so-awesome situation--there is always an upside. The fact that we aren't homeowners yet is okay with me because we only have ONE bathroom to clean and keep organized :) And even that I struggle with so...there's the upside!
So even though I'm enjoying all these mini-projects of organizing, I am so lazy about blogging it! Some days I feel like blogging and some days I just don't. Be patient with me if I have a lazy spell. The important thing is that I'm actually doing it, right? Ok, so. Bathroom. Not much to explain except that I still had some things in BOXES from moving and I had stuff I had forgotten I already had. Cool.
I didn't even bother taking a "before" shot of this. It was just some boxes and random stuff so there really wasn't much to see.
I'm trying really hard not to let it bug me that the pictures below aren't perfectly straight ...it went from total chaos of random junk to the bottom tier being for tub (not shower) stuff. The middle tier has tub toys (only toys) and the top is clearly for some beauty. I am always a happier girl after a bubble bath so I'm all about lighting a candle and soaking it up in the tub. Naturally, I had to make it a more organic experience by adding a very realistic plant.
I'm probably the most proud of this transformation. First of all--the handmade car on the top of this cabinet has been looking for a safe place for a long time now. The bathroom might be a weird place to put it but quite honestly, it's safe from little hands that want to make it roll around on wooden wheels that aren't meant to be ridden around on. It's glued to a plaque on the bottom that was made by my Grandpa Egan and I want to keep it safe until Cole is old enough to fight the temptation to play with it :)
I got these organizing bins from Target in the dollar section (the pink and black plastic deals) and I have more that I'm using for my vanity. I'm planning on making some cute labels to go on the front of them but I wanted to get the basic change up for proof that I have actually been pretty busy :)
P.S. I'm not sure why, but that picture of Danny and I from our Honeymoon has ended up in the bathroom everywhere we've ever lived so now it's just a tradition.
