I am so glad that we spent a portion of this year's tax return on some bikes, the bike trailer and a rack to haul the bikes around. We have loved having bikes! Just the other day, I wanted to go over to Leah's to practice our song and my first instinct was to drive over there because I was in a hurry but then I remembered that I had a bike and could just ride over. I'm in love with a piece of metal and two tires.

Hiked half of Bell Canyon until we realized it was way too steep with Caleb on our backs and it was in the middle of the day, 90-something degrees and not even the hike we were wanting to do anyway.
Then we found the hike we set out to do. Val told me about a hike called Rocky Mouth just off Wasatch Blvd. It was awesome.
Caleb was over-heated and sad that he couldn't play in the falls.
I decided to jump in the pool of water from the waterfall. And then to shower in the fall. It felt so good after hiking. I was still hot from the dang Bell Canyon.
Laying on my back in the yard and enjoying this view:
And this company. Caleb has tried a new cuisine called Le Grass.
And I seriously cannot handle his cuteness in the bike trailer.
Taking lovely pictures.

We have had such a fun summer and I just found out on Friday that it will officially be over this week. Technically Cole was supposed to start school two weeks ago because he has been moved from D track at Rose Creek and has now been assigned B track at Fox Hollow. He's basically skipping school until we move. I've decided to send him back on Thursday. Three more days of summer! {That might have to be spent 50% packing and organizing and 50% fun} but still. Who gets to knowingly skip school and go to the pool? I'm a little bummed that we won't be on D track with some of our friends. The lady in the office told me that the fourth grade D track class has 36 students in it! Thirty six! I asked her if she was sure it wasn't a big deal that Cole would be missing 3 weeks of school since we thought he'd still be on D track. She said it was fine. I hope it doesn't put him too much behind.
There are lots of changes coming very soon and I'm trying to just focus on each day and trying to fit in all the fun that we can before I start working and Cole starts 4th grade. I can't believe I'm even typing that...

I told my mom about the 36 kids thing. Crazy. But she said not to worry about him missing. You can find out what they've been working on and get up to speed.
Babe in the trailer is so cute!
