A few steps later

Okay, well obviously we skipped a few steps (I forgot to take pictures), but basically the cakes were leveled off to be perfectly flat across the top, and shaved into a pefect square, filled with icing (in this case, sometimes it's raspberry or other flavored fillings). From there it was covered with a thin layer of buttercream icing. Then, they were frozen so that the fondant could be applied.
