Giving Credit where it's due

Cole has the imagination of his mother. Today while giving him some fruit snacks to complete his highly nutritious lunch, he picked one up and held it to his ear saying "hello?" with an interested look on his face. Now, a banana I could see being used as a phone, a plastic cell phone? Again, another easy correlation...but honestly, a teeny tiny fruit snack? Where did we get this kid?

I might as well add that while we were at the zoo this week, as I pushed him around in his stroller he proceeded to let oncoming traffic know that we were coming through. "Beep beep!" or "choo choo!" was his phrase of choice as he was pushed through the zoo in the blistering heat. I might also add that he did this in a very loud way. 'Cause you know--the monkeys were really loud. This child is all about safety. I think next on the list will be teaching him the turn signals for bikers.

Hah! I love it. The "beep beep" and "choo choo" is 100% boy, especially when yelled as loud as possible. Don't worry, though, because it could be worse...the other day we were in a toy store and Layla saw a man who looked like Paul from the back and started yelling, "Daddy!!! Daddy!!!" He turned around and was obvio NOT daddy, but she kept yelling it. Ehhhh, NO. Anyways, embarrassments in public are going to become very common now that Cole's talking. And very hilar. Love it.

OK..so just being honest: ever since I saw val on your blog I have been waiting for my chance. I thought "how could I make it onto the 'white house' "? So I feel an opportunity coming on at Tiana's wedding (what did you think all that chumming up was for) and I anxiously await the postings. Needless to say...nothing. Not a picture, not even a mention. I feel that you misrepresented not only the event and my place in it, but me. You know I was with you almost every second of that day and yet...nothing. Seriously. Tiana looked stunning and I know it was her day and a wonderful one at that, but I even wore a white shirt. Just whatever ok. I guess I am just going to ask for you to send me the pics and I'll find a place for them on MY new site (so there- that way I can make sure they are decent beforehand anyway). And what's with having a birthday that I didn't know about. This is too much. I really thought we were working our way up to best long distance friendship. Better Luck next wedding. :)
