Saying Goodbye

Tonight Brittany and I attended the "Final Testimony Meeting" for the Salt Lake City South Mission, to hear the testimonies of a couple of the Elders that taught her the discussions. It was fun to see Elder Laubaugh and Elder Martin again and...Wayne! I'm still weirded out by calling him that, since he is still Elder Nilsson to Brittany and I. It was cool that since he was released, he was able to be there to see old chums, and Britt got a picture taken of 3 of the Elders that taught her. It was an incredible meeting, and the Spirit was so strong. Elder Laubaugh played and SANG a music number that he wrote the music for. Then he signed a part of his testimony in ASL and had us all in tears. It really got me into the missionary Spirit. I know that I don't need a badge or special calling from the church headquarters to share the message of the Restored Gospel. Going to this meeting made me sooooo miss my mission. It may have only lasted a year due to physical ailments, but it won't be my last full time mission! The picture of the missionary and the girl who looks strangely similar to him is Elder L and his twin sister who was there. She is currently awaiting a mission call--and is darling.

Amanda and I went to one of these for the missionaries that gave her the discussions. It was pretty cool.
