Another Movie Review

My parents are the coolest. Danny and I spent the day cleaning and trying to get our apartment in order so my parents paid for us to go on a date! Yeah--it doesn't get much better than that. They even offered to babysit (another win-win) So Danny and I hit the theaters and saw Dan in Real Life. Since I'm up (see post below) I thought I'd give my little review of it. I LOVED IT. It was laugh out loud funny. A very big difference from my-heart-is-smiling-funny, or "no really--I'm enjoying myself" funny. It was great. I probably had the loudest laugh in the entire theater and I don't even care. It was so great to just forget about our troubles, and laugh. Don't get me wrong--it's not ALL laughs, there are some serious parts too, but for the most part, it's pretty uplifting and how do I say it--jolly? (Not to be confused with joll ladies...you know who you are). It kind of reminded me of While You Were Sleeping, the big hilarious family, and the funny things that happen when you get extended family together. I don't want to give anything away about the movie, so I'll just say that Danny and I both really enjoyed it. And it was worth every red cent that my parents donated for us to see it :) Oh, I forget. We did have to work for the money. We took care of the cat while they were in Vegas for a couple weeks. Totally worth it! I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen it, and what you thought. Do share. To see the trailer, click here.

I haven't seen that yet...I guess I'm going to have to! I like to hear reviews from my friends because I don't trust what the critics say...I usually feel the opposite way that the critics felt about the movies! So thanks for the review! :)

Last night we were debating on whether to see that or Beowulf.

We saw the latter and it was a mistake. If we hadn't been there with friends I think we probably would have walked out. Lame.

And now I read your review and wish, even more, that we'd seen Dan.

*sigh* Oh, well. Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. :)

I love While You were sleeping.. the love story is great, but his family is better.. so I can't wait to see this one. How nice of your parents to treat you to a date night.

Sorry about the no sleeping problem. I am like Danny and fall asleep before my husband is finished brushing his teeth.. seriously, it's not go good for our prayer routine. If I could give any advice (since I don't have money) it would be go on a nice long walk and try to get out all your frustrations/worries. Maybe you've tried that, but whatever you do, don't head to Walmart late at night.

LOVED IT!! This was such a good movie and I tell everyone about it!! Steve Carell does such a good job! Before the movie I just couldn't picture a different Character that Michael Scott and he definately has talent because he was a totally different character in this movie. Still funny, but different

As you heard, we saw Beowolf. Ummm, I can't really tell you much about the movie because I've already blocked the experience out of my mind.
