Our Crazy Conference Weekend
It all started Friday night. I went to my mission Reunion and met up with some dear friends from the Mission. Once you have been in Honduras together, you are pretty much friends for life. That is a bond that cannot be broken :) We had fun getting reacquainted and even went out for some pupusas (great Central American dish) afterwards. It was fun for Danny to meet some of the people I have talked so much about. Luckily for me, Jenn (next to me in the blue) and I see each other pretty frequently. Here we are in front of the Honduran flag. Catrachas forever!

Hna Rivers, Fisk, Miller, Stoneman & Pugmire.
Yeah, some of us have different last names now--but they'll always be Hermanas to me.
This is where things get really crazy :)
SATURDAY
We have Nate and family in from out of town (which we all love) and Saturday was full of birthday celebrating, halloween fish ponding, hair painting and Conference watching. You know how kids are during conference. I think even the adults even got a bit wacky. This is A SMALL taste of what we experienced this weekend:
There was WAY too much sugar involved with everything we did...I wonder why the kids were literally bouncing off the walls? They were in heaven and Cole loved his life because he had all of his cousins here!

Dad Miller couldn't make it to Priesthood Session this time because of traveling for the 'ol job. But everyone else was there. You'd be surprised how many picturse I had to take to get a DECENT shot of these guys. Willie and his upper lip thing, Scott and his tongue thing, and Nate with his eyes closed...come on boys--get it together! :)

And it was a big hit. We'll look for any excuse to act abnormally..haha. Cleaning up was just as messy as you would expect. Cole didn't even participate in the hair coloring {he was totally freaked out by it} but I wanted to save the earth by having him share a bath with Rylan and Raevyn. The water was purple and then grey. Poor guy. You can tell he isn't too happy about it.

SUNDAY
My mission pal Amy Stoneman got us tickets to the Sunday Morning Session of General Conference. I always love going downtown and being THERE with the Prophet and all the other General Authorities and leaders of the church. It is always such a cool experience. I feel so blessed to live close by. I have had several opportunities to be in the Conference Center and I always think about my friends in Honduras who will never see it with their own eyes in this lifetime. I try to NEVER take these opportunities for granted. Even going to the Temple is such a sacred experience for me. Especially after seeing how much of a sacrifice it is for some people to go. We have it so easy. After the session we took a couple photos outside {it went from being stormy and raining to gorgeous and perfect} during the session. Hermana Farley was able to meet us there. It was so fun seeing her again. She reads my blog and NEVER comments *cough*. Here is your chance...no pressure. By the way, Jamie {Hna Farley} was so good to accomodate my OCD picture habits. I always have to make sure the picture is decent, and if the lighting is funky or I look "gross" I ask for another one to be taken. So, she pretty much took 20 pictures for us. Thanks Jamie! I even included the one with the wacky lighting just for you! The one of Danny stealing a kiss was not planned. I love it :)
Three fingers = Only in Honduras
Sunday afternoon we got to participate in the blessing of our newest family member. Hannah Miller. She is such a little angel and the circumstances surrounding her blessing were very special for everyone. She was blessed in her home by Brian {her father, my brother} and it was a great day. There was a TON of family and friends there to support them and it was the perfect way to end the weekend. PERFECT. Thanks for having us Bri and Kam. We love you guys.

And last but certainly not least: My parents' cat named Sasha has taken Danny's heart. I don't know how she did it. Danny has never liked cats. EVER. Well, he'll even admit IN PUBLIC that he likes Sasha. She always wants to lay by him in bed and snuggle up by his head. No...that is my job. Get lost cat...

Dude! Can I just tell you how jealous I am right now that I'm not a member of your family? My fam's cool and all, but dang. We never do stuff that fun. There is no family as fun as the Miller family. LOVED the pics! I'm coming to your place next conference.
I LAUGHED out loud when I saw the pic of Cole in the bath with his cousins! I LOVE the sensor! Where do you come up with these things?
It is one of my greatest pet pieves when people post pictures of their children with their knackers or hoodjits hanging out! COME ON, people! Just because your child isn't old enough to know better does NOT mean they are not human and therefore deserve some sense of dignity! What is that child going to think 10 years down the road when they realize mom advertised their goods all over the internet!? I'd be angry, that's what. No, I'd be flippin fuming.
That's my take on it, thanks for asking! ;) More people need to read Rae's blog to learn some blogging etiquette...
...Told you it was long.
Glad you had a fun weekend. Love the Halloween MESS!
And I agree, the conference pictures turned out great!
