Turkey Day Top Ten
3. I am grateful for good friends.
Last week I was having a rough day. No...a HORRIBLE day. My sweet friend Amy brought me lunch and flowers. She's probably embarrassed that I'm even mentioning this because she probably didn't even think it was that big of a deal. But it was a big deal. To me. We're going through some tough things right now and she knew that a little visit and a little chocolate would go a long way to boost my spirits and help me forget my troubles for an afternoon.
Heavenly Father has been good to me. I am so lucky that all my life I have been surrounded with good friends. I attribute much of who I am today because I was blessed with good friends. I never had to worry about getting into a sticky situation because I didn't have friends that were into stuff like that. Even now, I look back and think how blessed I have been to have good friends from my college days, mission, past wards and jobs I have had. I truly believe that the group of people you surround yourself with at a young age will greatly impact the type of person that you will become. I have somehow tricked people everywhere I go that I am worth being around! (ssssssuckas!) And I am grateful every day that they have stuck around to keep me in good company--in good times and in bad :)
p.s. I couldn't take a picture of the real flowers Amy got me because they are starting to droop a little today and I didn't get one in time. Don't worry--they were delightful.
