I just sat for about 2 minutes with my cursor in the title field of this post. I have no idea how to start this post. I don't have to tell anyone who reads this blog regularly that I am a fan of David Archuleta. I remember seeing his audition and looking over at Danny like a ridiculous teenager.

This is probably how it went:
Me: Oh my gosh, he is so dang cute!! He's really good!
Danny: Wow, yeah--he's good.
Me: Oh look, he's from Murray, UT! Cool!!
Danny: Oh, that's cool.

* 10 minutes later *

Me: I just can't handle how good that Archuleta kid was. If he doesn't go to Hollywood I will be TICKED.
Danny: (watching TV)
Me: Seriously...isn't he so good, Danny? Let's rewind it.
*We watch it again*
Me: Holy cow. He is so freakin' cute!
Danny: (watching TV)
Me: Danny, don't you think he's AWESOME??!!!
Danny: Yeah, he's really good. Wow.

Just to clear this up--Danny isn't one of those demeaning husbands who talk down to their wives to make themselves feel cool. He just doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve (and he doesn't get as obsessed with things as I do). HEH. He is cute because he wants to be excited with me but it's probably impossible for him to match my freakish obsession at this point. I could lie and say that I don't really care that his album came out TODAY (but that I bought the album at 10:00 p.m. the night before it was officially released because I knew it was midnight on the East Coast). But I can't lie. I tricked my mom into buying it {Lie--she actually wanted it. I SWEAR}. I just happened to be the one to download it for her. I'm younger and faster, so ya know...things download faster for me.

My point: I am listening to the CD. I LOVE it. I love the mix of genres. It's very "poppy" but it also has some ballads and a killer acoustic guitar song that justifies the entire purchase. It's true that he can sing the phone book (thanks Randy) and if he had an inclination to sing it, I'd probably listen. My recommendation: DUH. Buy it. If you could see me smiling right now...

I love you!!! You have such a way at expressing exactly how I feel. Sometimes I just want to say, for a really cool way of looking at what I like and to laugh and see how it really should be written "got to Raelynns blog" love it
Hey - I knew I didn't underestimate your "fanship" of David A. I'm glad I dedicated my last post to you...I don't think you've read it yet...check it out.

Thanks for the review. You know, I like his voice, and since my encounter with him (see blog) if you can call that a real encounter, and after reading your review, I am actually intrigued enough to get the cd. I'm sure I will like it, but I don't know if I will reach the level of obsession you've stated here... :)

I'm glad to hear it's good! We too were fans (of both Davids, actually), so I'm excited to hear all the new songs out! How fun! And I love how excited you are about it...you're hilarious (in a really great way)!
