Where Does He Get This Stuff?

We are really starting to enjoy the stage where Cole is at with his talking. He says the most RANDOM and hilarious things. I've been jotting a few down here and there {not nearly enough} and I thought I'd share some:

******************************************

We're talking about something at the dinner table and my mom says, "but boy...{as in but wow}." and I jokingly said "butt boy?!" and we all laughed so Cole joined in to try and make us laugh by saying "butt boy!" so I said "Cole, can you say big butt boy?" and he looked at me and said..."awkward!"

******************************************

Aunt Melissa comes walking into the kitchen at 7/8 months pregnant during December and Cole has his eyes fixed on her belly. He looks at her sincerely and says "Aunt Melissa...you're ho ho ho, Merry Christmas?"

Then he lifted up his shirt, and rubbed his stomach and said "little" and pointed her hers and said "big". Thanks buddy. He's always to helpful at reminding me of that, too.

******************************************

Cole is getting his diaper changed during a social gathering and 2 of the younger kids are watching him. They are looking down on him while he's getting a new diaper put on and Cole says "hey guys?" and they both say "what?" and he says "I love you".

******************************************

Cole's got the movie "Bambi" in his hands and says,"let's watch this!" and I say..."nah, that's boring!" so he says back to me, "Yeah! Let's watch Boring!"

******************************************

Me talking to Cole, "You have a booger in your nose, let me help you". Cole says "No! It's MY booger". Fine dude--you can have it!

love it. especially the "awkward". If kids aren't good for anything else, at least they are entertaining!

Oh my gosh, I think this should be your weekly post, funny stuff that Cole says! I read them to John and we both laughed. My favorite was the diaper one. Just picturing it made me laugh really hard. Oh thank you for that LOL

Seriously so funny. How old is this little guy? He has the face of a two year old but talks like he's ten. Akward is my favorite. I ALWAYS say that. ps- I'm totally linking you to my blog, but don't feel like you need to comment on every post...really :)

I'm so glad you're posting this and keeping a record of it....these are all so funny, I can't pick a favorite! What a character.
What a sweet heart to think of saying "i love you" at such a vulnerable moment. Gotta love kids and their notice of people's size. In college I worked at a daycare (I was Miss Tristie) and this 3 year old said one day...

"Miss Cindy, you have small boobies. My mom has big boobies, and my daddy has hairy boobies. And Miss Becky has a big butt!"
