Mirror Lake 2009
Here are 1.3 million pictures of our day/night up at Mirror Lake. We had to come home early because of the rain...we were cold, we ran out of warm clothes for Cole because he was a peeing machine and we got very wet. Turns out it snowed after we left. Go figure. It was so glorious to come home and sleep in our warm, cozy beds!

I love this picture of Cole looking out at the lake. He's really starting to appreciate things like this more and it just makes me smile.

While the weather was nice, it sure was beautiful.

Looking so pensive. He was probably thinking about marshmallows and chocolate.

Just a cool angle. A change in perspective.

Cole's into doing this thumbs up thing. He'll do happy/angry/sad faces along with it. I'm not sure where he got it.

Never give Danny anything that could even RESEMBLE a weapon when there is a fire around.

Yet another reason why camping isn't awesome. You look like this ^

At least I haven't lost my wisdom. The mountains really make me smarter.

One and only family picture from the trip. It's blurry but that's probably a good thing for me.

I don't know why people can't take me seriously!

Getting ready for the canoe ride.

I'm so bummed that I cut his face off in this picture and then the Kodak moment was long gone.
![]() |
Ahoy! Cole was totally doing a pirate hook and saying "Arrr Matey" while we were in the canoe.
![]() |
It was just so pretty and even though Cole couldn't stop saying that we were going to sink--I think he enjoyed himself :)

My lovey lovester.

When you're the photographer in the family, you have to resort to these things...and it was so bright that my eyes are like slits. Nice.

When we were walking back up to the campsite, Danny picked these flowers for me and told me that whenever he sees them it reminds him of me because when we got married, purple was my favorite color. (Major brownie points were scored).

Cole was terrified of the thunder. It was actually VERY LOUD. He had his ears plugged for a good 10 minutes. Poor little guy.
![]() |
Thunder stopped and he was back to his normal, crazy self.

Exhibit B.

Gallivanting at it's finest.

Our humble abode.

The great and spacious building. (Where my parents slept and hung out).

Second, I think we were in the same thunder storm...in a tent... Cool.
So the irony of you working at AHSJ is so unbelievably cool! My mind has been racing!! Have you been hired to teach kindergarten there? My daughter has a Mrs. White for her teacher and I am wondering if that is you? Oh, the world is getting smaller and smaller. I didn't know you taught? I don't work there, I am just a newby parent as my daughter is starting kindergarten there this year. I am going to laugh my rear off if it is you, if it isn't what do you do over there? Haha!! So great to talk to you! -suzanne
