Wrapping up September
Sheesh. Is it really over? Now we're moving on to some serious fun. (Not that September birthdays aren't fun--but...you know). Danny's favorite holiday...HALLOWEEN. I don't know why. I seriously don't get it. But, I love him so I'll support his quirkiness :)
Here's how we've wrapped up the month.
Bad news first:
1. I was "diagnosed" with Plantar fasciitis. A condition where basically your feet hurt all the time, even when you don't stand on them for long periods of time. For some reason, I'm having a really bad flair up and shouldn't hardly be on my feet at ALL. It's kind of weird for me. I guess it's a permanent condition (and I'm pretty sure I've always known that my feet weren't always supposed to hurt this bad) but I won't have to ice them and massage and stretch them so much after this flair up goes away.
2. I got strep really fast and really bad last week. We canceled Cole's birthday party to be responsible parents and also--to give me some time to recoop.
3. I just had one of those weeks that I'm glad I don't have to relive. For real--glad it's over. Let's forget about it and move on.

We discovered the beautiful world of window markers. Cole feels like he's breaking all the rules and that's kind of fun for us to watch. They're so cool! They just come right off with Windex. It'll be great fun to decorate for the holidays with these.

Got a little craving for some cold peach pie. Found some great recipes from some friends on face book and made it happen.

On the 27th, we celebrated with the Whites for Cole's birthday. He had a cool looking cake by Dad (one of the aliens from Toy Story) and some awesome gifts from Gma & Gpa & his cousins.

It took Cole FOUR blows...or was it 5? To blow out 4 candles. They weren't even trick candles...haha.

We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon and tried to get some pictures but because of our late arrival, and the behavior of Cole (see picture below) we had to cut our trip short with no great family pictures as we had hoped. I looked so cute for nothing :( Blast. I just really like this picture. It shows that it WAS pretty up there and that yes--Cole was being a little bit ridiculous on his birthday.

We got home and Cole got a Charlie & Lola book, a fun game and a Bob the Builder DVD from Gma and Gpa Miller. What a day he had. He also got some great messages from Aunts, Uncles and Cousins calling him to sing "Happy Birthday" over the phone. I think he's listened to them a hundred times each. Four 'aint gonna be so bad.
