Days 21-25

I know this has taken over my blog so if you're not interested in all this organizing nonsense--don't worry, October 31st is very near :)

Project 21: The Library Basket

Very simple yet it really helps!I think I gave Danny an anxiety attack when I told him we checked out 20 books from the library...but we managed to keep track of ALL of them so this seems to be a good system :) We've used it for 2 rounds of checking books out and both times it has come through for us.  Woo hoo!!

Project 22: Stamp Time

Thanks to the Stamping obsession (and I use that word with love) my Mom has, it has kind of spilled over on to me.  I have been needing to organize all this stuff for a very long time.  I don't have a before picture but here are the afters.

Project 23:

Update on the nightstand.  I know this still isn't a nightstand...but it's an improvement.  I swapped the table with this drawer unit that was in the office.  The drawers were EMPTY.  Nice way to waste space! So, even though it still isn't a "real" beside table...it works and it's much easier on the eyes.  I ditched the huge lamp and got this for $8 at IKEA. I love that place...

Project 24
Organize them papes! This is the color scheme I'm doing on "my" side of the room in the office so naturally, I had to festivize these organizers.  Yes, they were like $1/each and I glued them together so they wouldn't tip over and look awkward.

Project 25: Shoes

There really isn't much to say about this but the fact that I apologize for you all having to see this.  It's the reality of the shoe situation here though and this blog is all about keepin' it real.

I packed away flip flops and summer shoes that we aren't wearing frequently.

Want to know a secret? This "accessory" shelf was cheaper than a shoe rack.  Sssssssssssuckas!

I have SO many more things to blog about but I have to get up at 5:00 AM tomorrow so I need to get to bed! I've got my list of projects slated for the rest of the month and I have to say that this experience has been one of the best goals I have ever set for myself.  I may not have blogged every day but I got SO MUCH DONE and I feel so much more in control of my surroundings.  I have to admit though--organization has pretty much consumed my thoughts lately...I wonder if it will wear off...

OK! Looks awesome and you are sooooo motivateing...When are going to organize me????. Nate and Mae have a great idea for a shoe rack..... heavy duty for kids....they found a heavy-duty 2 shelf, metal rack at Lowes or some other kind of home improvement store. It's heavy-duty so it doesn't move all around when kids put their shoes on & off it. Did I mention that it's 'heavy-duty' :)
