The gingerbread house
Every year since Danny and I were dating, we've tried to "challenge" a couple that we enjoy spending time with to a gingerbread {graham cracker} house making contest. This year it didn't happen because of my health issues but we managed to make one at home by ourselves. A $4.00 kit from Ikea with REAL gingerbread and $5.00 worth of candy from Winco got us this:
The beauty is, in most of our pictures you can't tell I'm in pain. I hide it pretty well most of the time. And Cole had a blast which is what matters most. I'm sure I'll look back on this time with a smile and a sense of understanding as to why I had to go through this but for now--I'm just trying to "just keep swimming" like Dory says on Finding Nemo.
