Toothless

Cole has lost a total of six teeth and only two have grown back so far. I basically think he just gums his food at this point because for some reason his teeth don't want to grow in! This last tooth pulling was especially dramatic. For the very first time, we got him to pull his own tooth out with some floss. There were many tears shed but it got to the point where I had had enough. It's just a dang tooth so pull it out already! We had babied him for long enough. He was SO proud of himself and probably said over the next 24 hours "it's such a good feeling to pull out my teeth" or "I LIKE pulling my teeth out" at least a dozen times. I'm not sure why it's so traumatic for him but I'm glad he was able to feel that euphoria that comes with doing something that terrifies you. It's funny how something as simple as pulling out a tooth can elicit such strong emotions.
