Valentines Day

Valentines Day fell on a Saturday this year so I had to work but I was able to move my shift up a bit and get off 4:00. We didn't have anything super romantic planned but we've always liked to celebrate it as more of a day of family and friendly love rather than strictly romantic love.

I got a card in the mail from Norda with these sweet notes. It made my day.

I got home and Danny was preparing a special dinner.

We enjoyed meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn {and martinellis in fancy glasses because we're fancy like that}.

In keeping with our new tradition from last year, we wrote love notes to each other after dinner. We each wrote a note to all the other members of the family and wrote three things we loved about them. It's a fun tradition that I will eagerly look forward to.

I know not all women love flowers, but I'm a sucker for them. Costco always has such gorgeous bouquets--it'd be a shame to pass them up. After Cole went to bed, we watched Notting Hill which was just okay. I remember liking it more as a college student. Either way, it was just fun to spend time together as a family. I love these guys of mine.
